Our minimum loan is €500 and the most you can borrow with us is €140,000. Savings may be required as collateral depending on the amount you wish to borrow.

You can apply for a loan today even if you never saved with us in the past!

Members subject to PAYE must submit 1 recent payslip, dated within the last 2 months which shows cumulative Gross Pay and Taxation Balances OR must submit 3 months bank statements where the most recent salary transaction is dated within 2 months of the date of application.

Self Employed Members must submit a copy of the most recent Balancing Statement from the Revenue Commissioners or relevant tax authority

Members on social welfare payments must submit the 1 most recent social welfare slip which must be dated within the last 2 months of the date of application OR must submit 3 months bank statements where the most recent social welfare transactions are dated within the last 2 months of the date of application.

No worries! you can sign for all your loan documentation online and we can then transfer the loan
electronically to your bank account.

New accounts can be opened by appointment only or you can sign up using the Carlow Credit Union app from the comfort of your own home.

For minor accounts (children aged 7 – 16), the child must be present to open the account. Parents / guardians can open the account for children under the age of 7.

Right away! Once you are a member, you can apply for a loan in person or online with no delays.

There are no transaction charges on saving (or loan) accounts.

Yes, we will take note of your savings history. When you are in the habit of saving regularly, you will find paying back a loan easier.

You can save up to €100,000 with an adult share account.

You can transfer up to a maximum of €2,000 per day between accounts.

When an eligible member borrows with us we look after the loan protection cover and you don’t need to do anything else.

That is correct, our loan protection, life savings and death benefit insurances all come at no direct cost to eligible members.

The monthly members draw takes place at 12 noon on the last Friday of each month.

Both members and non members are welcome to attend the live members draw in person or watch along on our live stream broadcasted over Facebook and Instagram.

Yes you can join the members draw at any time!

Yes, entry is limited to one person per account and each member has an equal chance of winning.

All Carlow Credit Union members ages 18 or over are eligible to take part in the draw.

Unlike other financial institutions, There are no transaction fees when you use our ATM facility. You only pay a €10 charge per year for the service.
