We regret to advise that we can no longer offer the BillPay service through PayPoint at the counter. Ask our staff about our Electronic Fund Transfer service as an alternative to PayPoint. There is no charge for this service. If you bring in your bill with all the payment details, our staff will assist you.
Electronic Funds Transfer Services
We allow members to transfer money electronically from their bank account to their credit union, and vice versa. All we need is your bank IBAN and BIC, as well as your member IBAN and BIC. Feel free to contact us if you’ve any questions.
Debit Card Payment Facility
For your added convenience, Carlow Credit Union can accept debit card payments from our members. You can use debit cards in our office to lodge savings and/or repay loans.
A standing order can be set up to transfer money automatically from a bank account into your account credit union on a regular basis – weekly, fortnightly or monthly. This is a great way to save and also allows members to pay off any loans without having to call into the office.
You can purchase all major foreign currencies from Carlow Credit Union in advance of a holiday or business trip. Call us today on 059 913 1994 and our foreign exchange staff will do their best to accommodate you. Please book your currency in plenty of time to avoid disappointment. Commission applies.
ATM Facility – now you can lodge notes
Save time queueing. We have an ATM machine outside our building which you can use to withdraw money from your ATM Account.
You can now lodge notes at the ATM.
All you need is your Account Number and your date of birth. Great if you don’t get to our office(s) on time and you want to pay your loan or lodge cash to your savings.
It’s open 24/7 and you can withdraw up €500 a day. There are no transaction fees; you only a €10 charge per year for the service. Please note that the ATM is not linked to the wider banking network. Your CU Cashcard can only be used at the ATM machine outside our Head Office in Carlow.
How it works?
You need to complete an application form for an ATM card and PIN number. Our Member Services Desk will send you a letter when your ATM card is ready. You then bring this letter along with photographic ID to one of our offices and sign for your card and PIN. The ATM card is then activated and the sum of €500 is transferred from your Share Account to a new ATM Account.
Please note that a balance of €500 must be maintained in your ATM account at all times, so if you withdraw €100 (for example) at the ATM, another €100 is transferred from your Share Account to your ATM Account. It’s important that you not disclose your PIN to anyone. If you lose your card or PIN, contact us immediately. Talk to our staff if you have any queries.
As a Carlow Credit Union member, you are entitled to use our Quick Lodge facility to lodge money into your account and/or make loan repayments. It’s useful if you’re in a hurry or if you can’t drop into the office during normal business hours.
All you have to do is fill in a Quick Lodge lodgement slip and tear off a copy for yourself. You then place the slip along with the cash and/or cheque into a special envelope and put it in the Quick Lodge letterbox inside our Head Office in Carlow.
