In order to join Carlow Credit Union and open an account, please make sure you have the required documentation to hand.
Sign up using our App or Book an Appointment
You can book your appointment in any branch or over the phone on (059) 913 1994.
Bring required documents
Provide required documents; proof of address, photo ID and PPS numbers*. You will also need to lodge €5 to activate your account.
Wait for approval
Online applications will be reviewed within 24 hours (weekdays).
What You Need
Proof of identification
e.g. current passport, driving licence.
Proof of address
e.g. recent utility bill dated within the last six months, P60, social welfare document, Bank Statement, Credit Card Statement.
Proof of PPS number
e.g. medical card, pay slip, tax letter.

New accounts can be opened by appointment only or you can sign up using the Carlow Credit Union app from the comfort of your own home.
For minor accounts (children aged 7 – 16), the child must be present to open the account. Parents / guardians can open the account for children under the age of 7.
