42km Charity of the Year Walk

On the 11th of November, Carlow Credit Union staff are walking from Graiguenamanagh to Carlow (42 kilometers) to raise vital funds for our charity of the year in 2023 - Carlow Samartians

Samaritans is a voluntary listening charity supporting people in all sorts of crisis that cause emotional upset. The service provides non-judgemental, confidential, emotional support to people experiencing distress or despair, including suicidal feelings. Samaritans are available 24hrs a day, 7 days a week and encourage people in need of support to get in touch.

Samaritans have been operating in Ireland since 1962 and have 13 branches in the ROI. They have been operating a branch in Kilkenny/Carlow for more than 25 years and take more than 15,000 calls a year in both branches alone.
