Curious Minds Sought For 2026 Credit Unions Schools Quiz 2026!

School children across the country are being encouraged to embrace their curiosity as the 2026 Credit Union Schools Quiz officially launches. Carlow Credit Union is inviting primary schools within our common bond to take part in this years competition, with the local round set to take place at The Dolmen Hotel venue on the 8th of February 2026.

The Schools Quiz, which attracts more than 25,000 participating students each year, is the largest competition of its type in Ireland.

The Credit Union School Quiz will have two age-group categories with a maximum of 4 people per team.

Competition A: Under 11 - for entrants aged 10 or younger on 31st December 2025
Competition B: Under 13 - for entrants aged 12 or younger on 31st December 2025

*Each school has the opportunity to enter 2 teams (one team for competition A and one for competition B)

The winning teams from competition A and B will progress to Stage 2 (Regional Level), organised by the Credit Union Chapter. Winners and runners-up from Stage 2 will then
qualify for the National Final on Sunday 19th of April 2026.
