School Quiz a Huge Success!

Last week, 24 teams from 12 different schools across both Carlow and Laois battled it out to be crowned this year’s Carlow Credit Union School Quiz Champions. In the end, Killeshin National School were crowned champions in the under 11 category while St Fiaccs National School finished 1st place in the under 13s category. Questions on the day covered a wide range of topics including geography, history, music, literature, and sport.

There were over 90 primary school students competing against one another and all of them were excited at the prospect of representing their school and county if they won. Thankfully, the quiz was a huge success and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the event” The winning teams from the u11s Killeshin National School and u13 St Fiaccs National School will now progress to Stage 2 (Regional Level), organised by the Credit Union Chapter. Winners and runners-up from Stage 2 will then qualify for the National Final on Sunday 19th April 2026 and compete against schools all around Ireland for top prizes.
